About Me

Greetings! I am Bradford Brooks. Born and raised in the beautiful Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University that earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism & Mass Communication with a concentration in sports broadcasting.

I recently completed the Treasury Management Associate Program in 2019. Which was a yearlong rotational program with a scope of the different business segments, Client Services, Implementation, Sales, Product Management, and Risk Management.  After the program I joined the Centralized Sales team as a Treasury Management Sales Analyst.

During my college career, I pursued various endeavors which granted me opportunities to network with industry professionals and spearhead my own media ventures. Pursuing these endeavors indeed taught me to face my fears and strive for my goals, all in a manner of excellence.

I am the creator of the podcast series "Good Taste ~ Bad Grammar," A podcast series that intentionally and effortlessly brings culture to life. Hosted by myself, Rod Carter, and Hunter Watson, the conversations focus on our journeys, community, music, sports, and more. We conduct our podcast out of Charlotte, NC and record at the 704 Shop. The show aims to constantly bring great stories and discussions that are 100 percent unapologetically for the culture! Good Taste ~ Bad Grammar is the first official project being powered by the fam(ily) brand (@thefamilybrandclt) with over 6,000 plus listeners to our show. We stream it exclusively on Apple, Spotify, and the Anchor app. I also served as the creator, the co-host, and executive producer of the hit radio show "3rd n' 30", a pre-recorded sports show that featured three sports-loving guys sharing their personal opinions on the latest sports news. The show aired on Greensboro's WNAA 90.1 FM, reaching thousands of listeners in over 23 counties in North Carolina and Virginia! Recently I have been able to serve as the digital content curator for the Fam(ily) Magazine. In this role I have been able to post and create content on different social media platforms and also produce featured articles for website content. Being over this operation we have been able to gain a following of over 800+ and an average viewership of 1,000 views per post. Having a strong passion for creating different content, I have also been able to produce and edit numerous viral videos for notable athletes such as Chicago Bears All-Pro running back Tarik Cohen, and FCS All-Americans Elijah Bell and Mac McCain III of North Carolina A&T gaining over 96,000+ views.

On my campus I was involved in a collection of organizations. These organizations allowed me to build life long connections, prepare me for my career, take on leadership roles, and also allowed me to give back.  These organizations included the Young Black Male Leadership Alliance, The Village mentoring program, The Triple P's foundation Inc, Aggie News & Views, the  Queen City Aggies, the Charles Hamilton Houston Foundation, The Golden Key Honor Society, Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement, and also the National Association of Black Journalists. I had the opportunity of being a contributing sports writer for The A&T Register and TrueBull.com as well, where I was able to report on the North Carolina A&T football team and create stories that focus on pushing the culture.

Along with that I attended  many programs such as the Spotify HBCU Opening Act where I was selected as one of 90 students from a pool of 850+ applicants for the conference. Serving as an assistant as a stats keeper with ESPN and the NCAA Women's national Tennis tournament.  And covering A&T with the media during the 2018 Celebration Bowl. Being able to be a part of these different organizations and opportunities has allowed me to grow as an individual and made all of my experience very enjoyable.

Being Bradford Brooks

“I’m just a kid a from Charlotte with a dream”, said Bradford Brooks. Growing up in a two-parent household Brooks was reared to be humble, driven and courageous.

All About Bradford

There is more than meets the eye when you meet me. I conducted an interview with some of my close friends and there did a Q&A that tells more about me from their perspective.

“Bradford is the consummate professional. Both polished and yet, unrefined. I’ve never experienced a more prepared interviewer, that made me feel like I was at home with family. It’s a true gift that he has.”

Christopher Moxley, Co-owner, 704 Shop
