J. Cole

Music is powerful and is very therapeutic, it speaks to individuals in so many ways. Music can get you through good and bad times and I know for me it certainly has. My absolute favorite musician is the one and only J. Cole.

Dom Kennedy

Dom Kennedy embodies the word cool. His laid back west coast persona makes his rap style seem super effortless. He has been one of my favorites for a minute.

Smino

Smino is one of the coldest in the music industry. I became a fan of his music in college and have been listening ever since.

Bas

The evolution of Bas is phenomenal. I remember attending my first J. Cole and seeing him open up for the show as a small name artist. Fast forward a few few years later and Bas has been able to release a certified gold album and also go on a world tour.

Ari Lennox

I Ari Lennox! Being a huge J. Cole fan I love the entire Dreamville label. Ari Lennox is an incredible singer and her album Shea Butter Baby is gold.

Earthgang

Another Dreamville representative. The duo of Venus and Doc have an electrifying an original sound that resonates with their down south Atlanta roots which mirror a modern day Outkast.

Jorja Smith

Jorja Smith is one of my favorite artist. I first found out about her watching a few of her live covers on Youtube. She's a super talented artist with a lot of star potential.

Kendrick Lamar

Still patiently waiting for the day we get the Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole collab album the world has desperately been waiting for since forever. Kendrick is one of my favorites, and just like Cole it's bigger than rap. I love how they carry themselves and continuously make classic after classic.

Jay Z 

The GOAT! And for those that don't know what that means let me explain. Jay Z is the greatest of all time. He has never missed and he is one of the smartest minds that I have ever witnessed. His hustle and drive are something special, as everytime I think he can't top his last move he always surpasses it. So in the famous words of Sean Carter, "Put me anywhere on God's green earth, I'll triple my worth" definitely the mindset that I try to instill in myself.

Big K.R.I.T

Big K.R.I.T represents the classic rap origins from the dirty south. He's one of the most underrated artist in the music industry and has made timeless classics that are always in my consist music rotation.

Rapsody 

A true poet and a true MC. If you don't know who Rapsody is, I highly suggest you go check her out. Straight out of North Carolina, the soulful rapper has been able to rise to the spotlight with her thoughtful and conscious lyrics that may go over your head during your first listen. One of my favorites to listen to.

The Shop on HBO & Lebron James

Lebron is more than athlete. He's one of the individuals that I hope to meet one day. He's not only my favorite all time basketball player but he's also someone who continues to push the culture and is intentional in every move he makes. Coming from poverty out of Akron, Ohio and being labeled the chosen one at the age of 16. Lebron has surpassed every expectation and more that was expected of him. Lebron inspires me in so many ways, from the way he carries himself on the court, to being a great husband and father, and the business moves he conducts, the man is more than an athlete. Lastly his company Uninterrupted has done a wonderful job with their production of the HBO show titled the Shop and I highly recommend if you haven't already seen it.
